Belagavi, Aug 28: The police of the city have cracked the case of a person riding the scooter nude in the night, the video of which went viral on social media, and confirmed that it was not a girl but a person belonging to the third gender.
On August 13 at around 10.30 pm a naked person was seen riding a scooter on one of the roads of the city. The scene of this ride had gone viral on social media. Public had expressed rage on the issue.
The camp police had registered a Suo Moto case and investigated the matter. The cops went through the CCTV footage of the commercial complexes besides the road on which the said person rode the scooter and unearthed that it is a person belonging to third gender and not a girl.
B S Lokeshkumar, city police commissioner confirmed that, "The person who rode the scooter naked was not a girl but a person belonging to the third gender. The person is a resident of Belagavi itself. Family of that person does not know that she/he has undergone a sex change operation. Now the person is absconding and we are trying to locate him/her."
