Kundapur, Aug 31: A youth died and three people were critically injured after a car rammed into two bikes near Gangolli on Saturday, August 31.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Tarik (23).

The incident took place near Rama Mandira, Nayakwadi at around 2.15 pm. The people on the bikes were heading towards Trasi from Gangolli, while the car was heading towards Gangolli.

The car rammed into two bikes and Mohammed Tarik, who was riding one of the bikes, died. Nayakwadi residents Ravi and Narasimha who were on the other bike, suffered serious injuries. Car driver Moulana Azhar also sustained serious injuries.

All of them are receiving treatment in Udupi’s Adarsh hospital. Gangolli police visited the spot.

    Car driver is serious coz people especially Hindus gathered and hit the driver mercilessly even with iron rods. Even at this critical stage of accident these guys were doing religious hatred. Such behavior of people hitting with iron rod is unacceptable at any stage.

    By the way the driver drove rashly and is the real culprit.
