Udupi, Sep 6: In a bizarre accident that occurred on the morning of Friday, September 6 at Karavali bypass near here, a car moving towards Udupi from Santhekatte, hit an electric pole that was on the road divider.
Anand Padmanabhan, a resident of Those Kallianpur is the person who was driving the car and also the owner of the vehicle.
The driver of the car miraculously escaped without any major injuries and was admitted to a private hospital in Manipal. The car was completely damaged in the accident.
City traffic police have visited the spot and conducted further investigation.
