Mangaluru: Congress leaders protest against resignation of Sasikanth Senthil

Media Release

Mangaluru, Sep 6: Congress leaders from the district protested in front of DC office on Friday opposing the resignation of deputy commissioner Sasikanth Senthil.

The leaders said that the DC has stated that he is resigning to his IAS post as he is not able to perform due to pressure, They blamed the central and state governments for the same.

“The resignation should be condemned and suitable investigations should be conducted about it,” urged MLC Ivan D’ Souza. The protesters shouted slogans condemning the policies of the central and state governments.

Resignation of DC is reflection to current situation in country – Yuva JD(S)

“The sudden resignation of deputy commissioner Sasikanth Senthil is a reflection of the situation in the country,” stated Akshit Suvarna, president of Yuva Janata Dal in the district in a press note.

“Senior IAS and IPS officers, tired of the rule of the government, are resigning for their posts. Youth Janata Dal strongly opposes the resignation of current deputy commissioner Sasikanth Senthil known as sincere officer,” he stated.

“Modi’s government is trying to control officials by threatening them and it is unfortunate that sincere officials are becoming its victims. The people in the district will not forget the service of Sasikanth Senthil as the deputy commissioner. It is tragic that it is not possible to continue the service of such sincere officials,” stated Akshit Suvarna in the statement.

I request DC sir to disclose actual fact or reason for his resignation. bcoz Modi took charge in central in 2014 & 2nd term in 2019. during all these days Senthil worked under govt service. but as per his letter he is disturbed by latest development. as far as our understanding, the latest major development is abolition of article 370 in J&K and arrest of former FM Chidambaram & state congress leader DKS under corruption case. but these could not be the reason for his resignation since these steps taken to betterment of nation. so we request Senthil sir to disclose actual reason for his resignation. congress party already started protest & it may give wrong message to the public about DC sir.

The present Govt does not get moved by resignations so easily. In fact they may treat this as an opportunity to bring in their own people as replacement.

It is time for entire nation to protest and stop such atrocities. It is likely to happen shortly if the trend of resignations continues and victimization / political vendetta continues..

DC himself has told he has given resignation for the personal reason and still congress is protesting against BJP govt. When SI ganapathy openly told that congress leaders are responsible for his death, where was Mr Ivan that time. Don't play your dirty game to fool people. Now the people are smart will not get fool for your political acting 😂😂😂. Find out some genuine reason to protest then definitely people will support you.
