Mumbai, Sep 8: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday predicted heavy rainfall in Mumbai and adjoining areas for two days, on Sunday and Monday.
Mumbai has received a rainfall of 70 mm in the last 24 hours as per Colaba observatory for the island city.
IMD Chief PRO Vishambhar Singh said "Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely for the next two days in the city and its adjoining areas, along with cloudy weather."
The Central Railway (CR) and Western Railway (WR) on Saturday informed that there will not be any delay and trains will run on time.
"Trains running between Churchgate and Dhanu stations are on time. No complaints, including that of snapping of an overhead wire, have been received," said WR Chief PRO, as per PTI source.
