Bengaluru: Double fine for traffic inspector for violating road rules

Bengaluru, Sep 13: In an incident which happened in the city on Thursday September 12, a traffic inspector, who was found violating traffic rules, was fined twice the amount normally applicable. 

The traffic inspector who had to face this embarrassment happened to be Shivakumar, traffic inspector of Sadashivanagar police station. He had parked his government car bearing registration No KA 02 G 1577 in no parking zone, thus obstructing smooth movement of vehicles.

This fact came to the notice of joint police commissioner (traffic division) of the city, B R Ravikanthe Gowda. He imposed fine of Rs 2,000 in place of 1,000 to the inspector for breaking rules in spite of being responsible for enforcing the road rules.

    Reckless driving ,Over Speeding y these things are exempted for politicians.Even on busy roads politician and their Security vehicles move at a high speed.So Those vehicles don't have speed limit even in cities right ? They move in extremely right side of the road and the vehicles coming from other end have to get down from the road.Make those rules mandatory for Everyone.Only Ambulance should be exempted from all this.

    Last week I was watching TV news. Yeddy,kumaraswmy,Asoke etc were travelling in their cars. Neither theses politicians nor their drivers were wearing seat belts. Is the rule defers from person to persons?

    First of all they book the vehicles of Ministers, which are moving in the city with sirens. And going to Airport in speed. Then only I appreciate the Traffic Police action. Otherwise it will be harassing common citizens

    Yes, you are right, unbelievable things are happening ,prices are gone high ,economy is down, jobs are cut, indusries are closing, comon public is looted thru high fine, flood effected people are on street,
