Bangalore, Jul 11: Chief Minister B S Yedduprappa said that he would be writing a detailed letter to the Prime Minister about the conspiracy behind the continued communal disturbances in Mysore. He asserted that a conspiracy was behind the clashes, with the main aim of the conspirators being defaming of the government.

"A well-planned conspiracy is behind creating a tense situation in Mysore. Activists had been summoned from various places including Kerala, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu and ten other districts of the state, to Mysore to create a chaotic situation under the guise of holding protests, demanding the release of the district head of Karnataka Forum for Dignity. There is no doubt that a systematic plan is on to disturb communal harmony in the state and spoil the reputation of the government," he said.

Speaking at the time of moving of an adjournment motion on these disturbances by opposition leader in the council V S Ugrappa, the Chief Minister said the said letter will contain full facts about the conspiracy.  "What was the purpose of organizing a large-scale protest by bringing people from various districts at a time when prohibitory orders were in place at Mysore? What is the aim of those who have been abetting such incidents? We know everything and such plans which might endanger the integrity of the country need to be firmly rebutted," he commented. He also objected to the indications of the opposition leader that the administration has been providing indirect support to those indulging in such disturbances and that the incidents lay bare the inefficiency of the intelligence.

The fact that the government was tried to be projected as the perpetrator of disturbances in the permission letter for moving of the adjournment motion by Ugrappa angered the treasury benches, as a result of which the council witnessed angry exchange of words and acrimonious scenes. While Ugrappa hit back by saying that he does not want any advice of the ruling party for moving the motion, leader of the house Dr V S Acharya stuck to his demand for the withdrawal of notice, saying that it’s wordings were against the parliamentary traditions. Chairman of the council Veeranna Mattikatti succeeded in drawing curtains on the discussions, by ruling that he would permit dissuasion on the issue under rule 68 on Monday.

Detailed discussions will be put on hold for the time being, as the situation in Mysore continues to be delicate.

This is a very bad remark in the history of karnataka ,since soo long these kind of activitice were not in practice but as soon as the BJP came into rule in karnataka these kind of panic situation occured, this shows the dignity of the party, how loyal and how much they are commited towards the social responsibilities.

Karnataka was known for his well ness brotherhood living,i cant understand why these kind of situation created , what we can gather from this is that the party wants to adopt the policies of gujrath, one thing these people will come to know at the end of day that what ever they try but it wont succeed them ,any pray for all the well being of huminity and lets all we stand against this uncultural practices which bring bad name for our nation and the state where we leave ....

oh come on Yeddi! you have got into the habit of blaming the opposition and calling any incident as a "conspiracy." If its an conspiracy then prove it dont just jail any innocent protestors. The fact of the matter is that for all incidents in the past one year you have called it a conspiracy but ultimately the needle points towards you. Looks like you are trying to give all and sundry an impression that you and your bandwagon are immaculate.

Yeddy you are hiding your agenda by defaming the minorities. Your people thrashed innocent social workers, fathers and nuns and desecrated places of worship. Now you say that there is a conspiracy. The why are the conspirators not being caught. Why are the police beating innocent people?

Why the Chief Minister didn’t had this kind of explanation when there was attack on Churches, Christians & Muslims in DK after the BJP government came into power. When Dr. Acharya swore in as Home Minister he immediately had a proposal to ban KFD or PFI and even then he didn’t have any proof against them for anti-national or anti-social activities. Any communal outfits should be dealt in accordance to the law and this applies for all the outfits regardless of its affiliation with Sangh Parivar or any other political parties. Government should maintain transparency and keep aside the religion when it comes to law implantation to maintain the peace, serenity and communal harmony.

The crisis in Mysore is just a continuation of the fascist agenda implemented by the ruling BJP government. The last one year of BJP rule in the state saw wide spread attacks on Farmers, Christians and Muslims. The more concerned issue was the role of the government machinery to serve the fascist agenda
