UP to build $1tn economy with help from LLM-Lucknow: Yogi

Lucknow, Sep 15 (IANS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that with the help of IIM-Lucknow, he planned to achieve the goal of a $1 trillion economy for the state.

He was speaking at the second edition of 'Manthan'-- a leadership development programme conducted by the senior faculty of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) here for the Chief Minister, his ministerial colleagues and senior bureaucrats.

"I am confident that when institutions like the IIM join hands with the government and take forward the programmes, we will be able to deliver good results," Adityanath said at the programme.

"Through this programme, we will be able to deliver development and good governance to people of Uttar Pradesh and also reach the figure of $1 trillion economy. This is team work and this initiative will tell us how we can work as a team for the development of the state, give results and achieve targets. I feel it will help in achieving the targets of development and good governance for the state."

For the second consecutive Sunday, Chief Minister Adityanath, all ministers of his government and IAS officer of the Secretary rank attended a day-long session on leadership development in IIM Lucknow.

This was the second of the three-part programme that the ministers and bureaucrats are attending to learn management skills.

Adityanath said that such lessons were part of the leadership development programme 'Manthan' to prepare a road map for development and good governance in the state.

Talking about the first edition of the programme which was organised here on September 8, he said his ministerial colleagues had prepared a road map for good governance and development of the state.

"In the third phase, this team will sit with IIM-Lucknow and deliberate how to implement the roadmap for the holistic development of UP, to move forward on the work plan which we have prepared for the concrete development of the state," he said.

During the nine-hour long training session, the ministers gave a presentation of their respective departments and took feedback from senior faculty members to develop innovative ideas and implement them in a progressive manner.

Earlier, on the request of the UP government, three special sessions were planned to be organised at the IIM classrooms where ministers and officers were groomed for better management skills.

The first session took place on September 8 where it was only attended by ministers, including the Chief Minister but in the second session, bureaucrats were also present along with politicians.

According to an Information Department official, about 70 ministers and officers attended the session.

The official said that "Sunday's course includes sessions on the process of policy formulation, mapping and stakeholder expectations to make the right trade-offs, policy implementation, project management and organisation, setting accountabilities, and project monitoring and control system".

For every school student, certainly knew the difference between Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein. But Union Minister Piyush Goyal with the strong academic record - all-India second rank holder Chartered Accountant and second rank holder in Law in Mumbai University the apple clearly did not fall on Einstein’s head and from all the illustrations in my school science textbooks, I could clearly place Newton and Einstein in different eras, one in the 18th century and the other in the 20th. And, indeed, Newton was a mathematician who discovered gravity by accident.

However, his theory of mechanics was improved upon by Einstein whose theory of relativity concerned both gravitational and non-gravitational pulls – beyond just the basic Newtonian theory of every action having an equal and opposite reaction. Which today is applicable more to politics than to physics.

So Sambit Patra, the medical doctor, might sneer at the anchor and cover up his ignorance by asking Rahul Gandhi, the development economist who knew the value of escape velocity in alleviating poverty before many of us, to reveal how many zeroes there are in a trillion first.

Our economy continues to nosedive with the zeroes. Fumbling over basic facts and figures on live television on mathematics BJP leaders need to learn to get their ducks in a row.

Neither 'Vedic' maths is helping the economy nor Reserve Bank of India's 'Piggybank' of 1.76 lakh crores.

From PM Modi's $5 trillion economies to Uttam Pradesh CM Yogi's $1trillion, the future of India's Rupee seems to be in direct competition with the Zimbabwean Trillion-Dollar currency.

Issues like Article 370, Pakistan, Imran Khan etc are being raked up by to divert attention from a terrible state of India’s economy.

    The future looks 'VikasNahiVinash'

The people have got the government they deserve. For him governance means one religion, one civil code, one party rule capturing power through deceptive means trampling democratic norms in some states, eradication of dissent, opposition, empty promises unfulfilled till date, etc etc., .

Development Dvelopment Development, Does BJP even know what is Development or is it one golden reason to loot money out of govt treasury?????..... Out of $1 tr can you spend a little towards cleaning Ganga, maintain enough stock of oxygen in hospitals, better education, clean water, other govt facilities and services and social justice to victims of rape and murder and so many other????.. Without this basic social reforms and infra structure you can not build a successful economy and can not ask IIM to these reforms. IIM can not do anything if basic things are not in place and favourable to manage the business provided a business already exists. You have to find a expert professional for these basic things but it will be against your principles, so the end game is no development at all but only fooling people.
First make sure whether IIM or LLM!!!!????Or Nagpur Institute of Management NIM.
