Jackson was Killed for his Billion-dollar Assets, Claims Sister

London, July 12 (IANS): Pop legend Michael Jackson's elder sister La Toya has claimed that the singer was murdered by people conspiring to lay their hands on his $1.6 billion assets.

"Michael was murdered, and we don't think just one person was involved. Rather, it was a conspiracy of people. I feel it was all about money. Michael was worth well over a billion in music publishing assets and somebody killed him for that. He was worth more dead than alive," she said in a four-hour interview to the News of the World.

La Toya, 53, however, refused to name people involved and said: "I can't say who I believe is responsible as I don't want to jeopardize the police investigation."

She also said that Jackson feared he could be targeted in a conspiracy.

"A couple of years ago, Michael told me he was worried that people were out to get him. He said that 'they're gonna kill me for my publishing. They want my catalogues and they're gonna kill me for these'," she said.

"Michael was being controlled. No one could get through to him...Michael was being inappropriately treated by people who got him hooked on drugs," she added.

Millions of dollars in cash and jewels disappeared from the "Thriller" star's house the day he died in his rented Los Angeles mansion June 25, she claimed.

"Michael always had cash in his homes, usually around 2 million pounds which he used to keep. People said he wasn't wealthy, but Michael always had money with him," she said.

"When I went to the house later that day, there was no cash or jewellery. So many people had been through that house before I got there. Someone went in there and did a good job. It was very strange," she added.

She also revealed that the staff loyal to the pop star were fired within hours of his death.

"When the family returned to his rented Holmby Hills mansion at 11:30 p.m. on the day of his death, we were told all the guys loyal to Michael had been fired. I couldn't work it out."

Death of Michael Jackson will be remain mystery for year''s to come. One more shocking news over here.. During a search for evidence at the Neverland Valley Ranch, investigators discovered a corpse that has been identified as that of Michael Jackson, Santa Barbara police officials announced Tuesday. "Coroners have officially pronounced Michael Jackson dead. From what we can tell, he died between 18 and 20 years ago," forensic investigator Tim Holbrooke said. "We are not certain, at this time, who-or what-has been standing trial in that Santa Maria courthouse."

According to Holbrooke, Jackson ''s corpse was buried just inches below a stretch of the miniature-train tracks that run throughout Neverland. The largely desiccated corpse wore the remains of a red, zipper-covered leather jacket and a single glove. "We positively identified the body as Jackson by his dental records and DNA," Holbrooke said. "But even before we conducted a single forensic test, we began to suspect that that we''d uncovered the real Michael, and that the disturbing figure claiming to be Jackson was a fake." Holbrooke said that, although the corpse was in an advanced stage of decomposition, when investigators compared the body to early-career publicity photos of Jackson , they saw a striking resemblance in bone structure and facial features.

But when they compared the body to photos taken after 1987, the resemblance was negligible. "This discovery raises a lot of questions, but it also sheds light on a number of disturbing incidents," Holbrooke said. "Frankly, Jackson had been acting pretty strange." sab gol-maal hai..

Mystery continues to surround the death of Michael Jackson, which is typical of celebrities like him, though the police have ruled out foul play so far. In recent weeks, the reverential treatment of dysfunctional celebrity icons has reached near-saturation point in the US. Celebrations of the life of pop sensation of Jackson, who also happens to be a poster child for family dysfunction, reached a crescendo a few days ago. Two weeks ago, television networks across the US rolled out touching tributes to 1970s icon, Playboy pin-up and divorcee, Farrah Fawcett, who died in June. Then there was the death of retired NFL quarterback Steve McNair, married with four sons. He was shot dead by a waitress, who suspected him to be having another affair. The unmistakable truth is that Jackson and other icons, who are eulogized by gullible people, characterize all forms of decadence: sexual deviance, child abuse, divorce, drug addiction, anorexia, self-promotion, gross materialism, astronomical debt, paranoia, reclusiveness, obsession with looks and self-mutilation, among other creepy forms of behavior. A complete picture of today’s sick and perverse US society!

Michael Jackson was hounded by media and other people when he was alive. Why can''t they leave him and his Memory in peace on his death? Please give space to his lovely children and the family members to mourn their personal loss rather than making a public issue of it. MAY THE SOUL OF DEAR DEPARTED REST IN PEACE.

I happen to be on a visit to the US, and I could watch live the Funeral Memorial service of Michael Jackson, whose entire family and and friends were present. It was well-organised with the crowd surpassing even those of funeral service of VVIPs, apart from millions of people watching live it over TV from all over the globe including London, Johannesburg, Mumbai/Delhi etc. I think there is some substance in the allegation of his elder sister that people surrounding him were after getting hold of his assets, although he virtually died as a pauper staying in a rented house.

It seems, his life was a mystery not only when he was alive, but also in his death and after. During his lifetime, although he is acclaimed as the King of the pops, it was alleged that he was involved in the child abuse etc. which he denied but had to settle by paying an astronomical sum and ultimately, he was cleared of the case, after his treasury was virtually wiped out.

His problem was that he was unable to manage his finances and his staff etc. I believe, in order to get away from the messy limelight he even stayed in Bahrain for some time, only to be forced out of there out of some default. Now, after the funeral service, it is again a mystery where he has been buried. Is it at the Neverland ranch in California or his home in Gary, Indiana. Even there is a suggestion that he was to be cremated and his ashes are to strewn in the rivers of the places where he had given memorable performances etc. I think it will take a long time for MJ''s true story to be unfolded until after all the investigations are over, over various allegations.

Fame and wealth will attract all kinds of people to our circle of friendship, and most of them will be blood suckers, and a few of them will dare to kill us for money. When we have money, even the relatives who ignored us will do anything to be the closest relative. We are living in such a terrible world, and Michael Jackson was one sad victim.
