Belagavi: State does not require centre's help for flood relief works - BJP MP Tejasvi Surya

Daijiworld Media Network – Belagavi (EP)

Belagavi, Sep 21: “The government at the centre has provided additional economic strength to states on recommendations of fourteenth finance commission. Therefore, the states need not go to the centre for rehabilitation of flood victims,” said BJP MP Tejasvi Surya.

“Narendra Modi has made sure that the states get additional grants after he became the prime minister. The prime minister has taken the decision so that the states do not knock at the door of the centre for compensation,” he said.

“Our state is financially strong. Therefore, chief minister B S Yediyurappa has announced compensation for flood victims from state funds. The chief minister walks about as if wheels are tied to his legs even at this age. The allegations of opposition parties that the centre does not respond is meaningless,” he said.

“NDRF team and the army which came to the rescue of flood victims are in the control of union government. Union home minister Amit Shah and finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman who conducted aerial survey had come as the representatives of the centre,” he informed.

This BJP MP Tejasvi Surya who is famous for 'media gags' for publishing his wrongdoings indirectly saying to the flood victims that you are left die on your own.

If the state BJP government don't need center's help for flood relief works, let the MP who declared in election affidavit Assets worth Rs 13,46,593 donate and live like Sadhu.

This overrated MP is only good in vocal skills.

Earlier congress government was keeping all rights with them. Present government has given rights to state governments to spend money.

Mr. Nidderama was also telling south states are strong financially. So, why financially strong governments are begging money from centre?

People of Karnataka are paying tax to Center for them to manage Defence, Foreign affairs, Space program, communication etc.

Has any of the flood victims received even Rs 1 so far after more than 2 months of flood disaster?????. If the state govt is strong then why can't it distribute aid and do rehabilitation work????. State govt is only prolonging till it is forgotten and money swallowed without trace.

This is the female version of Sadhvi Pragnya Thakur. None other than we Kannadigas to be blamed for electing him to represent us. On what basis ? On the basis of his popularity.

Now, pay the salary of this good-for-nothing MP who says Karnataka does not need help from the central govt. Does he even know that part of our taxes goes to the coffers of the central vovt. ? How much grants do other states get during calamities ? Does he even know that ?? That is, above the regular grant the PM has assumedly approved.

Karnataka is one state in Federal govvt of India. what ever central government gives to State Govt is their due share. Central govt is like a insurance company to share the burden of state in exigency. But it's unfortunate of representative of the state either don't have ability to get work done from Central govt speak adversely to state. But unfortunate is born fighter and experienced politician cm is silent and struggling in his advanced age

I just hopes the by election results topple this good for nothing govt. It's been 2 months, all that happened was 10 to 20k compensation to people who lost a lifetime's earnings. And people like these have the audacity to say we don't need help, it's not your personal help man, it's thousands and lakhs if people who need help. Don't rub salt on wounds, be ashamed of such loose talks..
