Exide posts Rs.122.4 cr net profit in Q1


Kolkata, July 16 (IANS): The country's largest lead acid storage battery manufacturers Exide Industries Ltd posted net profit after tax of Rs.122.4 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, as compared to Rs.82.2 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The total income has decreased from Rs.908.88 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008, to Rs.904.35 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, a company statement given to the exchange stated Thursday.
