Belagavi: Arrogant KSRTC bus driver tries to run over students, suspended

Daijiworld Media Network - Belagavi (MS)

Belagavi, Sep 2: An arrogant KSRTC bus driver tried to run the bus over the students, who waved the hands to stop the bus. He has been suspended by NWRTC officials with immediate effect.

This unbelievable incident took place in the Bekawada village of Khanapur taluk of the district. The parents of the students have urged the KSRTC senior management to take severe action against the arrogant driver.

The suspended driver is ASF Sheikh from Dandeli division of NWRTC.

The students, as usual, were waiting at the bus stand of their village for the bus on Tuesday, September 25 to go to various colleges of Nandagad and Khanapur. They waved their hands at the bus that was going from Haliyala to Belagavi. The driver slowed down the bus as if he was allowing the students to board it. However, when the students were about to board the bus, he drove it off suddenly. It is said that, though some students went in front of the bus to prevent the driver from leaving, the bus driver did not care and drove the bus away.

A local person filmed the whole episode in his mobile phone and shared the same on social media. Responding to the incident, tahsildar Shivananda Ullegaddi said that he informed the officials of NWRTC to take suitable action against the erring driver. Accordingly, the NWRTC officials have suspended driver ASF Sheikh.

Excuse me Sir, This is not Bangalore.

There are few buses in some areas. We also went to school. Buses not stopped us in the morning every morning. We are late by one hour many times. Group of students ran behind bus to catch. They stopped for passengers taking bus to far place. We big bag which carried many books not allowed inside the bus. Conductor stopped us at the door. One day he pulled my bag down while trying to enter the bus and it toren.

Students are hungry. Tired. They have to study. Reach home. Why bus did not stop to them. Why this driver playing with students with their life. Why you call them as roudies.

See they are children. Other words teen ages. Driver should take care of them. Drivers job he has to do. Some times they already paid for the ticket and therefore driver will not stop. Knowingly students stopping bus. They are using this trick.

Once you come down from Bangalore to village like this. Very few buses. Comes once in half an hour or one hour. Who has patience to stand on the road with tiredness and hunger.

Rich people go by Auto or cars. Poor people has to depend on these buses know.

If you see the video, group of boys behave like rowdies. They had something in their mind either to attack that bus driver or someone inside. This not the way to catch bus for travelling. Hooligans.

In which place are you? Beating and gundaism is done by people who are illiterate. You should never take law in your hands. There are many so called heroes on the streets who acts like rowdies and trash other people when a small mistake is done. Such gundas should be taught a lesson by stricter laws.

It is sad to observe that driver of bus forgot his responsibility regarding the safety of passengers. Instead arrogantly tried to run over students.

Such a person should not be suspended but dismissed from service.

The boys are behaving like goons, they are college students. If they are passengers they have to be at the bus stop not in the middle of the road. In Mangalore DK our city/service/express buses will stop anywhere even for one passenger only thing is you have to wave your hand.
