Bengaluru, Sep 27: The original Congressmen have again spewed venom at Siddaramaiah, who had crossed over from the JD(S). At one stage, former chief minister Siddaramaiah, and former union minister K H Muniyappa, heaped accusations against each other.

This incident happened at a meeting held at a private hotel here on Thursday, September 26, relating to the selection of Congress candidates for the bypoll. Muniyappa and Hariprasad even walked out of the meeting in a huff. Former deputy chief minister Dr G Parameshwar was conspicuous by his absence. It is said that he expressed his unhappiness in this way. B K Hariprasad poured out his dissatisfaction at the meeting, sources stated.

It is said that K H Muniyappa directly mounted attack on Siddaramaiah at the meeting. It is said that he reiterated his earlier allegation that former assembly speaker, K R Ramesh Kumar, had played spoilsport during the Lok Sabha election which resulted in his defeat.

Muniyappa directly accused Ramesh Kumar of being a traitor of the party and questioned Siddaramaiah for giving him a place of importance in the meeting. At this Siddaramaiah grew angry, rose to his feet, and asked Muniyappa to sit down. He also told Muniyappa that everyone knows about what he is and what he does.

State Congress affairs in-charge K C Venugopal, and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president Dinesh Gundu Rao, tried to pacify both the leaders.
