Riyadh, Oct 1: "India is going through an undeclared emergency that is putting the citizens' lives' at risk and we must strongly oppose it," said M K Faisy, national president Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).

He was talking at the reception organized by the Indian Social Forum- Riyadh Central Committee. Criticizing most of the bills passed by the 2.0 Modi government he said, "Most of the bills passed by the 2.0 Modi government are targeted at Muslims to realize the longstanding dream of RSS for a Hindu majoritarian country. Modi government is playing second fiddle to the corporates and putting undue pressure on the common person. The country's manufacturing sector is in an irredeemable meltdown. Without correcting the myopic economic policies of the government, there is no existence for the country.

The NRC process is a violation of human rights and the upcoming citizenship bill is aimed against the Muslim community which must be opposed," he replied during the question-answer session.
