Brahmavar: Wave drags away high school student into sea

Brahmavar, Oct 3: In a tragic incident which happened at Paramlpalli near Saligrama in the taluk, a young boy met watery grave after a huge wave dragged him into the sea. This incident happened on Wednesday October 2.

The deceased was Vikas (14), son of Krishna Poojary from Parampalli, who was an eighth standard student of Viveka Boys High School Kota.

As Wednesday was a school holiday on account of Gandhi Jayanti, Vikas had ventured near the sea a little away from his home in the afternoon for undertaking fishing activity with fishing rod. At this time, a wave surged ahead unexpectedly and took Vikas into the sea with it.

Fishermen at the spot rescued the boy and rushed him to a hospital where he succumbed without responding to treatment.

The deceased is survived by parents and a brother. A complaint about this unnatural death was registered in Kota police station.
