Bagalakote, Oct 4: Pejawar Shree has defended Yuva Brigade founder Chakravarti Sulibele in retaliation against the statement given by union minister D V Sadananda Gowda, who called Sulibele as anti-national. Swamiji has batted for Sulibele saying that just by one statement, a person cannot become anti-national. 

Speaking to the reporters, Swamiji said, "Sulibele is doing a good job. He is uniting the youth of the state. Union minister Sadananda Gowda is also doing a good job. Sadananda Gowda did not take the name of Sulibele personally. I do not know in what context he has given that statement. However, just by giving a statement one does not become anti-national." 

Pejawar Swamiji also expressed his concern over the flood victims not yet getting any compensation from the center. He also expressed concern over the financial deficit in the country. Shree said that he will write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard. 

"I am also concerned about the fact that the funds are not released for the flood victims. I do not know why the money is not being released by the center. Not only for Karnataka, but the compensation for flood is not given to even the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Bihar. They have only made a survey in Bihar but not announced any monetary compensation," said Pejawar Swamiji. 

Swamiji further said, "There might be financial crunch in the country. That is why the funds are not released I feel. I will write a letter to Modi saying that the people are expecting help from you. You are doing a good job to the nation. Your administration is good. Accordingly you have to disburse compensation for flood victims also." 

Responding to the query of reporters on the silence of 25 MPs of BJP from Karnataka state on the compensation for flood victims, Swamiji said, "The MPs have not publicly asked for the compensation. They might have spoken to PM on this matter. This was not telecast in the media. It is impossible that they have not asked for flood relief funds. I do not accuse the MPs for not asking the compensation. There is financial crunch in the country. I feel that is the reason why the flood relief funds are not yet released. But I do not know the real matter. In the letter to the PM, I will express my feelings. I am confident that the state of Karnataka will get the compensation for flood as soon as possible."
