Panaji: India's First `Indian Customs and Central Excise Museum' Inaugurated

Panaji, Jul 28: Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the country's first and the only 'Indian Customs and Central Excise' Museum in Panaji on tuesday, July 28.


 

The Union minister was accompanied by chief minister Digambar Kamat, MP's Francisco Sardinha and Shripad Naik along with the other officials.

The Museum has valuable artifacts and other rare objects basically seized by the central excise across the country over the years.

    Very good concept. Any city in the world is culturally judged by the number of its museums. This museum looks great! Hope other museums in our country get a facelift like this to protect treasures...for our future generation.
