Mangaluru: Alumni meet organized by Sahyadri MBA department

Mangaluru, Oct 11: Alumni are the ambassadors of an institution and have responsibility towards academic and research oriented initiatives of their alma mater. The department organizes Alumni Meet every year to bring back the alumni to the campus, spend quality time with the faculty, view the growth of the institution in person, keep abreast of the progress the institution is making in terms of quality of education it is imparting and contribute to the continuous improvement of the institution wherever possible.

A get-together of Sahyadri MBA alumni was held on October 5. The Mega event began with a formal programme. Prof Ramesh K G, dean-Strategic Planning welcomed the gathering and Dr Vishal Samartha, director-MBA addressed the alumni, highlighting the latest developments and initiatives of the department. Roopesh Salian, the chief guest of the occasion is an alumnus from the 1st batch of Sahyadri MBA. Currently, he is a senior business process improvement analyst at Northern Trust. Dr R Srinivasa Rao Kunte, principal re-iterated the role, an alumni plays in the overall development of the institution.



The formal programme was followed by cultural performances by alumni, current MBA students and faculty. Games were organized and prizes were distributed. The programme concluded with alumni sharing their experiences and memories as students at Sahyadri and finally got onto the dance floor followed by a gala dinner.
