“We provide students with the rare opportunity to view our federal government at work, discuss key issues with Washington policymakers, and to discover the importance of responsible citizenship”, said acting executive director Marie Daire.

“Our scholars are a select group of students who have gone a step further and will put the lessons learned here at presidential classroom into action”, he added.

Presidential Classroom offers nine unique and challenging leadership development experiences, focusing on key issues such as global health and environment, science and technology, law and justice, national security and media, and international relations.

As the Indian delegation, the Ryanites were asked to put up a country presentation which consisted of a dance to the song ‘Jai Ho’, which was greeted with a standing ovation.

Vijay Vedula was elected as the head of one of the working groups and was also selected as the delegation representative to speak at the banquet.
