Mangaluru: Police arrest three for trying to sell cocaine in city

Mangaluru, Oct 14: In a joint operation conducted by the City Crime Branch (CCB) and the personnel of Economic and Narcotic Drugs police station, three people were arrested for allegedly trying to sell cocaine. This operation was carried out on the basis of definite information about the arrested people trying to sell the prohibited drug to the public in the city. 

The arrested accused are identified as Fasim Naushib (25), son of Najeeb Padinar, a resident of D'Silva Lane Falnir, Mangaluru, Afzal Hussain (28), son of Abdul Hamid, a resident of Bait Huda House Manjeshwara, Kunjethur, Kerala and Mohammed Zahid (26), son of Zahir Hussain, a resident of Flat no 201, West Gate Pride apartments, near Sanjivini Clinic building, Falnir, Mangaluru.

 

The accused were arrested along with their car near the staff quarters of Kankanady Railway personnel. Around 30 grams of prohibited cocaine valued at Rs 2, 40,000 was recovered from them. In addition, the police have also confiscated four mobile phones and a Maruti Swift car. The total value of the confiscated items is said to be Rs 10 lac. 

A case in this connection stands registered in the Economic and Narcotic police station. It is suspected that more people are involved in this trade and investigation is on. 

This operation was conducted under the direction of city police commissioner Dr P S Harsha by CCB unit inspector Shivaprakash R Naik, PSI Kabbalraj, PSI Latha and staff of Economic and Narcotics women police station and staff of CCB unit took part in the operation.

    Its highly impossible to get Cocaine In Mangalore, cocaine costs 5000 per gram in and around usa and mexico, Just Imagine if pure or authentic cocaine is smuggled to indian market , the producing country which is as far as 15000 km and it wont cost less then 10,000 per gram, here people are fooled by this drug peddlers. they give some chemical substance in the name of coke and most of Indians have no idea or never seen coke in real which is easy for this criminals to fool this young rich brats who things taking coke is woow or make them more of american

    Suhail, you are wrong.
    The coke and crack available in India is from Afghanistan and western Pakistan, both released to the international market by Taliban. They sell it cheap to make quick bucks. This coke might not be as pure as available in Mexico, but sure it is coke. The 'further processed coke' or crack will always be pure. .
    However, unlike before, these drugs are easily available for students, which could endanger their career and lives. If police really want to control the menace, they should just pick some top pubs in Balmatta, Jyothi and MG road and raid.

    Cocaine is an expensive banned drug, around the world.... popular among celebrities n students, addicts have extreme physiological after effects, suicidal tendencies, are extremely high and the patient requires to be hospitalized and furthur be confined, in a de-addiction clinic, for complete rehabilitation, back in society..... Relapse cases, have remote survival rate.... Drug peddlers make huge profits....
