Buntara Sangha Kuwait to hold mega event ‘Buntaayana’ on Oct 18

Kuwait, Oct 15: Buntara Sangha Kuwait (BSK) managing team announced that mega event ‘Buntaayana 2019’ will be held on October 18 at the American United School Auditorium, Sabah Al Salem, from 3:00 pm onwards.

Over the years Buntaayana has been looked forward with great eager by not just BSK members but by the entire Tulunadu diaspora in Kuwait. Buntaayana truly promises a colourful evening of both cultural entertainment and Guest felicitation.

Buntaayana will be full of entertainment with artistes from Mangaluru and guests from Mumbai and Oman. Popular actor and ‘Bale Telipale’ fame comedian finalist Manju Rai Muloor and the new heart-throb young dynamic playback singer and Namma Super Singer finalist Nishan Rai will also enthrall Kuwait audience.

Manju Rai Muloor began his career as a drama artiste and has taken his talent and success to Coastalwood cinema in his first movie ‘Rickshaw Driver’, where he acted as a comedian as well a dialogue writer. In a short span, he has acted over a dozen of movies and played the hero’s role in Tulu movie 'My name is Annappa'. He has also acted in Kannada movie ‘Ratna Manjari’ and ‘Pravesha’. He has worked both as associate and assistant director for Kannada television serials. He has directed more than 20 plays and acted in more than 50 Tulu plays. He has participated in famous Kannada reality show 'Maja Bharartha’. He is currently acting as a comedian in 'Pudar Bodchi Uru Bodchi' under the Lahari team. This talented artiste has a post- graduation degree in Arts and graduate in Education and teaches as a professor at Sri Ramakrishna School, Mangaluru. He has been awarded the Best Comedian Actor and won the Ideal State Level award, and also the runner-up award in the most popular comedy ‘Bale Telipale’ reality show. Manju Rai as he is popularly known among his peers would be hosting ‘Buntaayana 2019’ with his wit and humour. 

Nishan Rai Matanthabettu is a 19-year-old dynamic singer who tasted success at a young age. He has sung in many Zee Kannada programmes and has been appreciated by many prominent judges during his participation in Namma Super Singer. He was one of the finalists. He was one of the Top 10 contestants in Zee Kannada SaReGaMaPa Lil Champs Season 9. He has been a playback singer in movies like ‘Kattapadi Kattapa’, ‘Chandanvan’ (Gandhadhakudi) and ‘Kudhkana Madime’.

Nishan Rai is pursuing his CA (Inter) along with BCom at Trisha College of Commerce and Management, Mangaluru. He has in the past performed in Qatar, Bahrain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi along with prestigious Indian stages like Hampi Utsava, Kumta Utsava, Kannada Saahithya Sammelana in Delh, Mysuru Bala Dasara, Lakkundi Utsava to name a few. He started his musical journey at the age of 4 and is being trained in Hindustani music by Vidhwaan Shri Madhava Bhat. He has done many cover versions of songs in different languages and his work is highly appreciated by millions of YouTube viewers. The young boy is a bundle of talent. He is also a dancer and a trained Keyboardist. He is all set to rock the stage during Buntaayana 2019 with his melodious songs.

The programme will be graced by two prominent personalities from the Bunts business community, Sashidhar Shetty (Abeer Group) from Oman and Vivek B Shetty (Viswaat Chemical Ltd) from Mumbai.

Under the guidance and direction of Sathisha Acharya, BSK members for the 1st time are showcasing the historical classic ‘Sri Ramana Dharmanade’. The script and lyrics are written by Paramananda Salian, choreography by Vidhushi Shanthala Sathisha and the songs are rendered by Jagadeesh Puttur.
