Udupi: Padmapriya Death - 'Not Guilty' Claims Atul

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Aug 4: In a statement issued to the press, Atul Rao, against whom a private complaint has been filed by MLA Raghupati Bhat, whose wife Padmapriya allegedly disappeared with the help of Atul and then was found hanging from the ceiling of a flat in New Delhi, claimed that he had done nothing wrong as alleged in the private complaint.

" I had given statements on June 14, 2008, when I had gone to New Delhi in the company of the district crime intelligence bureau policemen and again on June 18 the same year, in the office of the inspector general of police Mangalore and to the Manipal policemen. When I was in the hospital, the Corps of Detectives personnel obtained my statements. I did not sign this statement. On June 29, the COD policemen filed charge sheet. If I had done anything as alleged in the present complaint, why did the COD policemen failed to make any mention of this during the hearing in the last 14 months?, he has questioned.

Mr Pascal, why these two innocent kids have to grow with social stigma as their mother was of bad morale and character? Why these two kids have to grow up in humiliation? Whatever is the reason, why to call a press conference and throw dust on one another without realising the consequences and its affect on the children and their future as these kids will grow up as sons of MLA. Whatever is the outcome of the investigation, let it be confidential and let it not hinder the growth of these two innocent souls. Dont corrupt these pure souls.

If there is a chance to punish those who made her life miserable, then why not try ? As Mr.Raghupati Bhat,MLA being people''s representative ,people want to know the truth. otherwise it is purely their personal matter.

Dear Mr. Pascal, I agree with you. Truth never change. No one has got the right to defame a person for ones fame. Mr. Pascal i dont understand what is your point of view. There are 2 kids who have to survive in this world. Mr. Bhat is more concerned about his chair and fame rather his kids. These kind of unwanted social elements dont have any right to survive. Mr. Pascal evey home has got kids. It might be anyone.

Now the woman is dead and please dont defame her any more. Please respect the dead and she has two minor children and they have to grow up and live in the society and face it. For her orphan childrens sake dont just do the character assasination. Now the matter is with God and he shall judge I am sure about it.

Its not good on the part of Mr Bhat to blame his dead wife of illicit relations with Atul. Even it was a fact, he should respect his dead wife for the sake of his/her children and face it in silence. God should give wisdom to both Bhat and Rao. May Padmapriya''s soul rest in peace.
