Radhanpur, Oct 24: Of the six Assembly seats in Gujarat where bypolls were held on October 21, the Congress is now leading on four seats while the ruling BJP is ahead on two seats.

As the counting for the six Gujarat Assembly bypolls continues, there is bad news for BJP’s newest member Alpesh Thakor who is once again contesting from the Radhanpur seat that he had won on Congress ticket in 2017. Alpesh has lost to Congress candidate Raghu Desai more than 10,000 votes.

Meanwhile, Alpesh’s associate from the Thakor community, Dhavalsinh Zala, who had quit the Congress to join the BJP, is also trailing in the Bayad seat in Arvalli, where Congress' Jashu Patel is leading by over 2,757 votes.

In the Amraiwadi seat of Ahmedabad, Congress' Dharmendra Patel is leading over BJP's Jagdish Patel by 3,800 votes.
