Grand audio launch of ‘Mangalore to Goa’ Konkani film held

Mangaluru, Nov 1: The audio launch of much-awaited Konkani film ‘Mangalore to Goa’ was held at Valencia Church Hall on Friday, November 1. 

Msgr Maxim L Noronha , vicar general, Mangaluru diocese, Fr Ronald D'Souza, director ICYM, Sunil Rodrigues, Bollywood action director , Walter Nandalike, founder , Daijiworld Media Group, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, director-actor, Coastalwood , Roopesh Shetty, director-actor, Coastalwood, Roy Castelino, former president, Konkani Sahitya Academy and Vincent Nazareth, managing director, CCN TV were present as chief guests. 

 

Launching the audio, Msgr Maxim lauded the development of Konkani movie industry. He said, "We, the residents of coastal belt of Karnataka, are lucky people. We are living with unity with the people of different cultures and languages. We have an opportunity to learn many languages. Konkani is one of the major languages here with large number of people speaking it. As in other languages, literary and cultural activities take place in Konkani also. The movie ‘Mangalore to Goa’ is one such work in Konkani. I wish all success to the entire team of this movie. Music unites and gives us peace. I wish that the songs of this movie make a big impact.”

"I have already heard one song of ‘Mangalore to Goa’ movie. I felt that the song has rich meaning and a special quality in music. I hope the movie also will have something special. Good compositions are always a plus point for the movies.” Fr Ronald said. 

In his congratulatory speech Sunil Rodrigues said, "I am proud to be part of audio launching event of the movie which is produced in my mother tongue. Being a Mangalurean, I am excited to hear the songs of movie ‘Mangalore to Goa’. I worked for this movie. I wish all the success for the team." 

In his speech Walter Nandalike said "Artificial publicity always kills the movies. The artificial buzz makes people unhappy and they are trying to keep away from these types of projects. So movie teams should concentrate on quality-filled publicity and restrict themselves from the artificial promotion. There is a dedicated team behind ‘Mangalore to Goa’ movie. They know how to take their projects to audience. I wish them very success and a great satisfaction.” 

Vijay Kumar Kodialbail hailed the Konkani community contribution towards the Tulu drama and film industry and its success. He mentioned ICYM units of various parishes for their support to Tulu dramas and its troops. 

Dolla Mangaluru, one of the lead characters in movie, Patson Pereira, music director, Nihal Tauro, playback singer , Mellu Valencia, actor , Sparkle Godwin , leadi actor and William Pinto Padrengi , story and script writer were felicitated. 

Melwyn Vincent Pinto , co- producer briefed about project and movie team. Vincent D'Souza, Nithyadarnagar, producer, welcomed the guests with floral bouquets. Rons London, co-producer rendered vote of thanks. 

After the stage programme, cultural programme was held by movie artistes and guest artistes.

Jude Noronha compered the entire event.
