Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Aug 13: In reply to the show-cause notice served on him by the state president of the BJP, D V Sadanand Gowda, asking as to why the party should not initiate disciplinary action against him for his anti-party activities, Honnali MP Renukacharya furnished his detailed replies to the notice, by personally meeting the BJP president on Wednesday August 12. There is every likelihood that the issue will not be dragged further.

Renukacharya was accompanied by Davangere MP G M Siddesh, Sagar MLA Gopalakrishna Beloor, Nelamangala MLA Nagaraj and some others during this visit. Interestingly, MLA Nagaraj was one of the signatories to the letter against Renukacharya. He clarified that he had signed the letter because of the pressure brought on him.

Speaking to reporters after meeting Sadanand Gowda, Renukacharya said that he continues to be a sincere activist of the BJP and that he has never acted against the interests of the party or the government. He revealed that he had expressed his view to the party president, that visiting the homes of ministers or joining other MLAs for lunch or dinner can not be construed as wrong or anti-party activity.

Renukacharya explained that he is like a family member of Chief Minister Yeddyurappa since the last two decades and that his respect for the Chief Minister has not eroded. He further said, he had never uttered anything against the Chief Minister.
