Mangalore, August 15: Every other street in Mangalore resonated with the chants ‘Govind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolu’ on Friday August 14. Mosaru Kudike, to mark the day after Sri Krishna Janmashtami as per Chandramana monthly calendar was celebrated with religious fervour in and around the city.

In a high-pitched religious festivity, the people of Tokkottu in the City outskirts celebrated mosaru kudike with all devotion and enthusiasm. Youth expressed their love for Lord Krishna imitating his love for curds by breaking the mud pots filled with goodies and curds tied at greater heights to the poles amid the loud cheering of their compatriots. It was an enjoyment laced with devotional zeal in the air.

Some of the other notable mosaru kudike celebration was at Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt, Nellikai Road. The temple also had organized fancy dress competition for children who had to don the role of Krishna to celebrate the Lord. College students too did not lag behind in celebrating the festival. Students of Srinivas College in the city celebrated mosaru kudike with right spirit. Bajpe Airport Express Friendship, a youth organization at Bajpe too celebrated mosaru kudike with great religious gusto.
