Mangalore: Billavas Dubai and Northern Emirates Distributes Student Scholarship, Medical Aids

Mangalore, Aug 16: Billavas, Dubai and Northern Emirates distributed scholarships to students from poor background and also extended economic help to medical treatment of the needy at a programme held at Vishwanath Hall, Kudroli Temple here on Sunday, August 16.
Vikhaytahananda Swamiji of Bolyottu Mutt in Karkala inaugurated the programme. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the life and messages of Narayana Guru inspires people to live in peace and maintain brotherhood. He appreciated the service done by the organization in following the command of God by distributing scholarship to students and medical aid to the needy.
Jaya C Suvarna, president of Rashtriya Billava Mahamandala, Mulky said that the concern shown by the non-resident Indians needs to appreciated.who have contributed a part of their earnings for the upliftment of the community brethren.
Ganesh Amin Sankamar, lecturer, St Aloysius college, H S Sairam, president, Gokarnanatha temple, Kudroli, Viswanath Amin, trustee of Guru Charitable Trust and V R Kotian, president of Bharath Co-operative Society were the guests.
President of Billavas Dubai and Northern Emirates Mohan Attavar, vice-president Praveen Kumar Attavar and education committee secretary Uday Kumar Kateel were also present.
The guests distributed scholarships worth Rs 7.6 lac to 240 students to support their education. In all 10 people with various medical conditions were distributed medical needs. Mohan Attavar of the association also handed over donation to the representative of Narayana Guru School in Padubelle, Jaya C Suvarna for the mid-day meals scheme.
