Bangalore, Aug 18 (DHNS): BJP State President D V Sadananda Gowda has termed Deve Gowda and his party workers as a group of terrorists active in the State. Deve Gowda and his company is no different from Lashkar-e-Taiba or any other terrorist outfits, he alleged.
Sadananda Gowda made this comparison in view of the alleged attack on BJP ministers by JD(S) workers in Channapatna. Addressing a press conference in the City on Monday, he said the voters of Channapatna and Ramanagaram would teach the JD(S) a lesson in the by elections.
Excise Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu said he was assaulted by JD(S) workers in Channapatna, when he was leaving the constituency after campaigning. Naidu alleged that Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council Puttanna was behind the attack. He wanted the Election Commission to check whether it was right on his part to take part in the campaign being the deputy chairman.
Transport Minister R Ashok filed a complaint with the EC demanding immediate arrest of relatives of Channapatna JD(S) candidate Ashwath, who was allegedly involved in the attack. He also urged the commission to suspend Ashwath’s candidature.
