Kodagu, AUg 18 (DHNS): Four members of a family committed suicide by jumping into a tank at Kakkabbe on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Nithya Bheemaiah (47), Wincy Bheemaiah (38), daughter Mridula Muthamma (13) and son Raju Devaiah (3).

It is said that Nithyabheemaiah had borrowed lakhs of rupees. Sources said that there was also a property dispute in the family. She had fought with his sisters, who live in Bangalore, over the sharing of 10 acres of land. He had even filed a court case.

The family allegedly took the extreme step, as he had received only 2.5 acres of land, and couldn’t repay the loans.

Mridula Muthamma was studying in 8th standard in a  Bangalore school. She had come home to celebrate her birthday. The deaths came to light on Monday when maid Bollavva and with her son-in-law Somanna had gone to their house and saw three letters scattered in the house. Such a tragedy. It is so sad when any person feels so helpless and is unable to reach out for help that they feel trapped, no way out feel that the solution for them is to take their lives and their families with them. May the souls of this wonderful troubled family Rest In Peace. My condolences to the members of the Bheemaiah family and friends. I hope and pray that future tragdies can be prevented.

Couselling really helps. There is a very good book "In His Bright Light" by Danielle Steel, the story of her son Nick Trania''s life. It is very good and enlightning.
