Dubai: Countdown begins for SMMC’s Konkani drama 'Vechogi Raavncho' on Nov 15

Dubai, Nov 13: St Mary’s Mangalorean Community (SMMC), Dubai, under the guidance of its spiritual director, Fr Denis Saldanha, is all set to present a super hit comedy drama ‘Vechogi Raavncho’ written by Konkani's well-known dramatist, actor and director Pradeep Barboza Paladka. The drama will be performed in the premises of St Mary’s Church, Dubai on Friday, November 15 and will begin sharp at 7.30 pm. 

Performed by ‘Sangon Mugdana Kalakar’ team, this drama is being enacted for the 9th time and has a history of creating a laughter riot wherever it was staged. ‘Vechogi Raavncho’ has witnessed houseful shows in Dubai, Kinnigoli, Udupi, Abu Dhabi, Miyar, Alangar, Mangaluru and Muscat. 

The drama explores a new kind of stage experience and has a unique concept, and viewers have called it a perfect blend of family story, comedy, tragedy and suspense. 

Being a director and actor himself, Pradeep who is famously known as the ‘Konkani Comedy Prince’ is directing and co-performing in this play with his creative team comprising excellent actors, Melwyn D’Almeida, Lavina Fernandes, Godwin Castelino, Roystan Kiran D’Souza, Vernon D’Souza, Paul D’Souza, Nanu Marol Thottam, Helwin D’Souza and Venicia Rodrigues. Music is rendered by Rohan Kalakul. Broadway Event Management will set the stage, lighting and sound system. 

To gratify SMMC's genuine intention to provide entertainment to the whole Konkani community of UAE, entry to the drama will be free to all but on first-come-first-serve basis. 

SMMC has made the finest arrangements to exhibit the humorous drama in front of a vast audience and have ensured 1,500 seats are available. 

SMMC, Dubai has requested the Konkan community of UAE to attend this auspicious event in large numbers on time.
