Bengaluru: Promise honoured - 13 disqualified MLAs get BJP ticket for by-polls

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (EP)

Bengaluru, Nov 14: Chief minister Yediyurappa has kept his promise and provided tickets to 13 disqualified MLAs excepting two to contest in coming by-polls.

The tickets were issued in BJP party office in Malleshwaram here soon after disqualified MLAs joined BJP today. However tickets were not distributed for Shivaji Nagar and Ranibennur constituencies. BJP has not announced the candidate in the constituency as Shanker has said that he will submit appeal in the court questioning his disqualification.

Ramesh Jarkiholi (Athani), MTB Nagaraj ( Hosapete), H Vishwanath (Hunasur), Mahesh Kumatalli (Athani), Srimanth Patil (Kagawada), Shivaram Hebbar (Yellapura), B C Patil (Hirekeroor), Anand Singh (Vijayanagar), Dr Sudhakar (Chikkaballapur), Bhairathi Basavaraj (K R Pura), S T Somashekar (Yeshwanthpur), Gopalayya (Mahalaxmi Layout) and Narayana Gowda ( K R Pete) are issued tickets.

Chief minister Yediyurappa speaking after disqualified MLAs joined the party said that it is a historic day. “The 17 JDS and Congress MLAs are responsible for me taking over the position of chief minister on the third floor of Vidhana Soudha. They have resigned for their post of ministers and MLAs and made all types of sacrifices for us. They have joined the party under BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel after Supreme Court verdict,” he said.

“I assure, as chief minister on behalf of Nalin Kumar Kateel, to the MLAs on the dais who have come with us after resigning and supporters that we will follow what we had promised. We will not betray your trust,” he said.

“There is no example in the politics of the country in which 17 MLAs and ministers came out resigning. They have sacrificed in all the ways for us. Therefore, I pray to BJP and leaders joining my hands that the victory of these MLAs is our responsibility. Let us work well in the by-elections,” he said.

These crooks have betrayed the trust of those who voted for them. Now BJP hardcore will vote for them, even of they are hardcore criminals or even if they won't win. There is no principles or morality in politics.
