Bengaluru: Woman becomes 18 years younger in passport to work in UAE, arrested

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Nov 26: A woman from Kerala was arrested for travelling to the UAE, for posing as a 44-year-old woman while she was actually 62-years-old.

Mary Thazhutharath Parambil Peter from Kochi had forged her passport to make it seem that she is 18 years younger than her actual age. This is because, she had applied for the job of a domestic help and people above 60 cannot be hired as per UAE’s rules.

She then approached an agent, who managed to change her date of birth from 1957 to 1975 on the passport.

The immigration officials of Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) sensed something is wrong as Mary behaved in a suspicious manner after checking in to board a flight to Sharjah at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.

When the immigration officials started cross-checking all her documents, they found that her date of birth has been forged on the passport. She was handed over to BIAL police. A case has been registered against her under various sections of the Passport Act and she is currently in judicial custody.

In a separate incident, a 25-year-old engineer from Kochi was arrested on November 23 for having a fake stamp of Malaysia and the Indonesian immigration department in his passport.

The accused Antony Farison was taken to custody. He confessed that he had visited Indonesia on a tourist visa but overstayed there for employment.

As informed by me time and again, Mallus from the neighbouring, so called, Devil's own country, are the biggest fraudsters and cheaters in this country.

This is one more example of that. Mangaluru is also being spoilt by these parotawallas. Public of Mangalore needs to be careful while dealing with this extremely greedy people of our country.

The lady tampered with her passport. The Law is against people who tamper especially in immigration place because officials looking after passenger travel don't get bribes easliy but customs do get something on goods and gold. but in other places like sub registrar and other departments can be easly bribed and could get a luck to travel if there would have been an option.

But in immigaration some officer has poked his nose into lady's travel. He should catch serious offenders not petty offenders. But in some places such as Bangladesh and Pakistan, goventment do not care about age, If he or she has a passport and no criminal backgrond they allow the labour to work in abroad because more than age or scruitiny they want that Individual or the cournty gets prospered due to incoming of foreign exchange. Once I had a bad experience in immigration while traveling from Bangalore to Riyadh. All my passports and visa everything was clear and all details and including date of birth was perfect to travel. but one guy in the immigration was so jealousy that he wanted to harass me leaving to the plane boarding. He didn't find any issues with my passport or travel document. He was so jealousy, I guess that he was getting Indian salary. he thought I was earning a lot in the gulf. Finally he told to his coligue with some murmering words" Why these kind of low quality people allowed to go to abraod by the government"? That day I thought my self " Why such people are allowed in to work in an Immigration? with no manners and self respect.

Our immigration laws and checks only for poor people
When looters want to leave the country our immigration department just close their eyes
Poor lady wanted to work as a domestic helper
Tomorrow if this lady commits suicide for no food or money then what the immigration department gets?
If in her place immigration officials sister would have been there what he would have felt?
Think and try to help the poor

Vishnu, everyone is not rich like you. Age discrimination is totally wrong. If the person is able to work and productive there should not be such restrictions to work. So sad these immigration department is looking at this poor maid and arrested her. Very sad. Many corrupt leave the country front of these guys all okay. But this maid going to earn daily bread has become a issue. What a world
