Mysuru: Deve Gowda accuses Yediyurappa of using money power to win by-polls

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (MS)

Mysuru, Nov 27: "’Ask whatever amount of needed for the campaigning of disqualified MLAs, who are contesting on BJP ticket. All the ministers are sent to respective legislative assemblies and asked to come only after the election is over. If money is required for ministers also let me know. I will arrange the same,’ these are the words of CM B S Yediyurappa,” said former PM and supremo of JD (S) H D Devegowda accusing BSY of pouring money for the by-elections.

Speaking to the reporters here, Deve Gowda said, "No one questions Yediyurappa whatever the amount of money he transports. That is why he is saying that BJP will win all the 15 seats. He has got the government and intelligence with him and also money power. CM Yediyurappa is trying to win the elections through money,"

Speaking about former JD(S) MLA H Vishwanath, now contesting for BJP, Deve Gowda said, "Vishwanath is a seasoned politician. Whatever he has in his mind and heart is entirely different from what he conveys to the public. But the people will understand. It is wrong to assume that people will not understand his drama."

"Vishwanath has praised me as well as former CM Siddaramaiah of Congress. Everyone knows that he is doing this in order to gain sympathy votes from the public. Vishwanath knows very well that if he teases or accuses leaders like me and Siddaramaiah during campaigning, it will have ill-effect on the outcome of the result of elections. So he is acting like a saint," added Deve Gowda.

Responding to the query on Maharashtra political developments, Deve Gowda said, "Anything can happen in the political scene of the country. This will have some bearing on the Karnataka politics also. Let us see what all changes will take place in Karnataka after the results of by-elections. Let us see what decision Sonia Gandhi will take after the results of the upcoming by-elections of the state."

    Dear Devegowda,
frankly to tell you are worst than any other party.

u want every one depend u to form govt, you are well aware that u cant form govt of ur own, but u want each and every one from your family should get power.

What you, your sons, grand son did in Mandya, we saw. U limbu son used bad words on opposit candidate, u fielded 4-5 fake people by same name just to split vote. used complete govt against 1 candidate.

This resulted in defeat of your grandson but also end of ur career with defeat.....

since 1999 you were telling that, this is your last election, but am sure even in 2024 you will contest saying that u r doing for party, but frankly u want family.

i feel that its okay if some Congress candidate won in election, but i dnt want to see any JDS candidate win in any election

Problem with all the opposition parties that repeating then mistakes by merely accusing ruling party without proving enough evidences so they could win the legal battle although the accusation stands valid.

Moshu, how can the opposition provide proof for cash paid by the ruling party to MLAs to join them? By the way cash filled suitcases are not distributed openly during public events in front of the media and cameramen!
