Bengaluru: Kumaraswamy sheds tears - Deve Gowda indicates alliance with Congress

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Nov 28: H D Kumaraswamy has been speaking of political polarization during the post-poll scenario. As if to support his notion, Deve Gowda said that anything can happen if Sonia Gandhi wishes, thus giving rise to speculations in political circles.

The state government led by BJP will face trouble if at least eight of its candidates fail to win the by-poll. In such a scenario, it might look up to the JD(S) for support. At the same time, the Congress, encouraged by the Maharashtra development, might express willingness to stitch up another alliance with the JD(S). In both the cases, the JD(S) would be able to assert its power and importance. It is said that in many constituencies, the Congress and the JD(S) have reached an understanding to ensure that the BJP candidates do not win.

Speaking at Mysuru on Wednesday November 27, Deve Gowda said that the developments in Maharashtra might also apply to Karnataka. His comments have given rise to debate about the chances of the party trying to forge an alliance with the Congress depending on the outcome of the by-poll. At the same time, ,it is said, although the JD(S) is projecting itself as a bitter enemy of the BJP, it is mentally prepared to have truck with the BJP if it suits its interests.

The JD(S) is confident of winning Yashwanthpur, Chikkaballapur, Hunsur and K R Pet constituencies. Congress feels that its candidates will win in Shivajinagar, Kagwad, Gokak, Hirekerur and Ranebennur. Both these parties feel that the BJP has an upper hand in Mahalaxmi Layout, K R Pura, Athani and Vijayanagara constituencies.

Kumaraswamy sheds tears

Speaking at an electioneering meeting at Santhemala Kikkeri in K R Pet taluk of Mandya district, former chief minister, Kumaraswamy, was seen shedding tears. Tears rolled down his cheeks when he recollected about the defeat of his son in Lok Sabha election and the fact that former K R Pet MLA, Narayana Gowda, who was close to him, had deserted him. Urging the electorate to vote for the party candidate, B L Devaraju, he said he was not interested to bring his son into politics but he buckled under pressure brought by legislators from the district. He said the media made a big issue out of it and launched malicious campaign against him.

He knows that even if BJP loses this election and they have a post poll alliance with JDS, his son will NEVER be given the CM post after betraying them during the previous BJP-JDS alliance when the half term had ended. The maximum they will get is a few ministerial positions. But Congress might agree to a rotational CM position. But Congress should be firm and tell them that the CM will be from Congress for the next 5 years and the DCM can be from JDS. They should put their foot down as this Father son duo are like a two headed snake. There is no doubt that BJP will lose these by-elections and with it Yeddi's............chhhhh........cm..kurchi.

If opportunity comes, BJP also won't hesitate to go to the doorsteps of Father-Son Duo. It is evident by frequent praising of Mr Devegowda by Mr Modi
