Mangaluru: Charmadi Ghat - Light vehicles allowed free access

Mangaluru, Nov 28: Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, has passed an order allowing movement of all kinds of light vehicles on Charmadi Ghat road all 24 hours of the day. This order would be effective from Thursday, November 28.

In the recent past, provision was made for movement of light vehicles on the ghat road from 6 am to 6 pm. Now, they can ply even at night.

Cars, jeeps, tempos, vans, mini vans, and two-wheelers are permitted to use this road. However, the deputy commissioner said that photography and clicking selfies are banned in the ghat section.
