Puttur: Kalandadka shootout case - Police arrest accused Hanif Jogi

Puttur, Nov 28: Puttur city police have registered case against four people, based on the complaint filed by Kabaka Kalandadka resident Abdul Khader, who was injured when unidentified miscreants shot at him on Tuesday. Out of the four the cops arrested Hanif Jogi (39), a resident of Neerkaje Kukkugattu of Kepu village.

Hanif was arrested near Gundya check post on Wednesday, November 27. The accused was produced before the magistrate late in the night. He is remanded to judicial custody.

DCIB special squad of Puttur and Uppinangady conducted this operation based on the direction of SP and DySP of Dakshina Kannada district, who acted upon the definite information received by west zone IGP. The cops have confiscated the car that was used by the accused during the shootout incident.
