Mumbai: Uddhav Thackeray sworn-in as Maharashtra chief minister

Mumbai, Nov 28: Shiv Sena president Uddhav B Thackeray was sworn-in as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra in a grand function held at the Shivaji Park here on Thursday evening.

Governor BS Koshyari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Uddhav Thackeray, 59, who sported a striking saffron coloured kurta-pyjama, the Sena party's colour.

In an unusual gesture, soon after completing the formalities, Uddhav Thackeray stepped to the front of the stage and knelt down, touched his hands and head on the floor to express his gratitude to the people of Maharashtra for the honour bestowed on him.

    Amit Shah is still a Chanakya, he wanted a CM for a day or two to shift something important to Center which he accomplished, also to make life tougher for the new Govt.

    And he knew that he can not run for long time.

    Guys Imagine Alliance was suppose to make the Govt. All of a sudden BJP entered and placed his CM from thin air and what all things they can do in those Two days ?? Socho socho.

    This is stitched by NCP ..and is self goal for all three parties ..just wait and watch
    I Was thinking that Mr thakerey would not wear a saffron robe.. its a hardline party like the bajrang dal ..I am surprised that the congress and ncp has allied with the shivsena ..

    This is a game ..I feel the person who looks to be defeated now(BJP) will be the winner in the scheme of things.. maybe in a few days. lets see how things unfold...

    Mithron, we tried our best to stop others coming to power but we failed miserably. Next time we will project Prgya Takur as the CM candidate and we will succeed. We will have to do something about the Supreme Court or they will destroy us. Vomit Shah is looking into new ways to control the. We will be sending ED and CBI after SS, NCP and Congress politicians to control them better.

    President rule revoked at unusual time of 5.45 AM. No notification before
    revoke, no cabinet meeting, no official invitation to BJP NCP from Governor,
    Neither BJP Nor NCP officially claimed, that they have numbers to form Govt.
    and bhakts call Vomit Shah "chanakya" for his illegitimate, illict, illegal & unconstitutional policies,
    but for people who believe in democracy, he is 'tadipar' & wil always be.

    The damage BJP has done to our constitution & the highest offices of our country
