Mangaluru: Sacred Hearts’ English Medium School celebrates colourful Annual Day

Mangaluru, Nov 30: Under the able administration of provincial superior and corporate manager, Mangaluru province Sr M Cicilia Mendonca B S, Sacred Hearts’ English Medium School celebrated a glorious and successful Annual Day on Friday, November 29, on the school ground with variety of events with different themes from each class.

The programme commenced with the semi classical prayer dance representing the beauty of the Earth and as a symbol of peace and harmony the dove was let free.

The day’s chief guest Bhaskar K, corporator, addressed the gathering. Sr Cicilia Mendonca, in her presidential address, at the outset guided the children and the parents not to be addicted to the gadgets. She advised the parents to spend their time with their children. Dr Sr Mariola B S, correspondent, Sr Rekha, superior of Santa Cruz Convent, Pushparaj Poojary, PTA vice president, and Kavya Nataraj Alva, corporator, witnessed the occasion.

The students under the stream line in studies, sports and Prathibha Karanji, were honoured. Sanovar Shazneen Banu of class VII was specially honoured for excelling in the field of sports reaching national level.

The programme was anchored by Jennifred and John. Dr Sr Mariola welcome the gathering. Sr Lavita, headmistress of the school, rendered the vote of thanks.
