Mangaluru, Dec 1: Pro Chancellor of Nitte University, Dr M Shantharam Shetty, inaugurated 'S Nutts Nuttiness Reloaded; an outlet for quality dried fruits and nuts here at Janvi Plaza at Bunts Hostel Road on Sunday, December 1.
Principal of Lourdes Central School, Fr Robert D’Souza, blessed the outlet.
Addressing the gathering, Dr M Shantharam Shetty said, "Cashew is the one of the most nutritious nuts like almond which improves the development of muscle. Our country produces the highest amount of cashew and is the largest exporter of cashew also.”
Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath said, "I congratulate Walter D’Souza for the new venture to dedicate this outlet to people of Mangaluru. Walter D’Souza can be called as the ‘Dictionary of Cashew Industry’ as he has lots of information with him regarding the cashew.”
S S Kamath from Kamath and Rau made the first purchase from the outlet.
William compered the event and managing partner Dr Christopher D’Souza welcomed the gathering.
President of KCCI Isaac Vas, president of Karnataka Cashew Manufacturers P Subraya Pai and others were present.
