Kannada Kalavidara Parishat Annual Meeting Held

Mumbai, Sep 7: The second annual meeting of Kannada Kalavidara Parishat, Maharashtra was held at mini auditorium of Karnataka Sangha, Matunga (West) on Saturday September 5.

Presiding over the meeting, parishat president S T Vijaykumar Tingalaya said that profession comes before hobby. However, one should patronize art along with profession, he said and called on people to encourage all the art organizations that patronize dramas in native languages of undivided Dakshina Kannada district and also Yakshagana triuoes.



Senior litterateur Dr Sunita Shetty said that an organization succeeds when different opinions come its way. This also helps strengthen an organization, he said.

Karnataka Malla, Kannada daily editor Chandrashekar Palethady distributed identity cards as members of parishat to senior litterateurs B S Kurkaal, Sunita, Shimunje Parari, Meera Bhayandar of Bunts’ Sangha, local committee working president Harish Kumar Shetty and Preti Vishwanath Shetty among others apart from releasing the identity cards.

Chandrashekar Shetty was re-elected as internal auditor of the organization. Parishat vice-president Narayan Shetty nandalike, honorary general secretary Dayasagar Chowta, honorary treasurer Ashok Pakkala and joint secretary ramesh Shivapuri among others were present at the meeting.
