Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Sep 10: An auto rickshaw carrying school children hurtled down a 50-feet gorge at Mittakody near Mudipu here on Wednesday September 9 morning. Miraculously, the seven students travelling in the auto rickshaw at that time, escaped with only minor injuries, as the rickshaw did not roll over, while going down the bumpy terrain. The rickshaw driver, Iqbal, escaped unhurt.

The auto rickshaw was carrying students of Mudipu School from the direction of Boliyar, when the rickshaw went out of the control of its driver and sped down the gorge.  The injured students were admitted into a private hospital in Derlakatte.
