Mangaluru: St Agnes PU College holds 'Self–Defence' demonstration

Mangaluru, Dec 19: 'Self–Defence' students of St Agnes PU College demonstrated different techniques on Thursday, December 19.

Kyoshi Praveen Kumar, secretary-general and technical director of Budukon Karate-Do, India and president of Karnataka Budukon Karate association was the chief guest. In his speech he stressed on the health benefits of sports. He commended the students on their performance.

Ranjith Manjunath and Reena Ranjith, the martial art instructors were also present. This unique programme was witnessed by the staff, parents and students. The audience watched keenly and applauded them.



The programme began with a prayer song. Andrea D'Souza welcomed and introduced the chief guest. This was followed by a thematic dance.

merit and credit certificates and other prizes were also distributed.

NCC corporal Bhagyashree and cadet Shravana were felicitated for their participation in the IGC, Bengaluru.
Anisha Frank compered the programme and Olivia Patrao delivered the vote of thanks.
