Bandra St Theresa Konkani Community Celebrates Monti Fest

Mumbai, Sep 13:
St Theresa parish Konkani Community celebrated the feast of Nativity of Mary, popularly known as Monti fest, with reverence at St Theresa School auditorium, Bandra (West), here on Saturday September 12.

 
Fr Richard Lasrado blessed the new paddy sheaves on the occasion. Fr Baptist Pais offered the Holy Mass, along with Fr Salvador Serrao, Fr Vincent Barboza Niddodi and Fr Ivan D’Silva.  Fr Michael Morris delivered the homily.
 
The stage programme was held after the Holy Mass at the parish hall. Francis Shipping Agencies Private Limited managing director Francis Rasquinha and Prima Packaging proprietor Henry Lobo were the chief guest.
 
Mangalore Mandd Sobhann trustee Rony Mendonca Bandra, lawyers Pius Vaz and Genevieve P Vaz, singer Nefy Rodrigues, Circular Citizen English weekly publisher Suzanne L Coelho and Philomena H Lobo were present.
 
Fr Vincent Barboza Niddodi and Fr Ivan D’Silva presented the honorary candles to the sponsors of the programme. Konkani musical concert, dance and mimicry were held as part of the entertainment programme.
