Twitterati praise Wagner for 200 Test wickets

Melbourne, Dec 28 (IANS): As Neil Wagner became the second-fastest New Zealander to take 200 Test wickets, Twitter fans praised Athe left-arm quick. Wagner, behind only Black Caps legend Sir Richard Hadlee, claimed the wicket of Australian Steve Smith to reach the milestone in his 46th Test (86th innings). It put him in the top 20 fastest worldwide.

cricket.com.au tweeted the feat on @cricketcomau: "Neil Wagner has become the second-fastest New Zealander to take 200 Test wickets."

"Awesome effort by #NeilWagner. Sir Hadlee clocked five wickets a match. No other paceman is close to that record," wrote a fan.

One fan wrote: "Look to be fair. I think we could find space for him in Australia's 4th choice test side."

One fan tweeted: "Just amazing. Such heart."

One supporter commented" "What a freaking shame he never got a break in the shorter formats. I shall forever be confused about that decision."

After one Twitter user posted that 'he is actually South African but go on...', another replied: "It is a shame CSA never saw your potential and also your skin colour."

One tweet read: "And the nicest bloke off the field... the inventor of the 'throat bouncer' by short blokes!!"
