Mangaluru, Jan 9: The Christmas gift given by the Father Muller Medical College Hospital to the people of the region witnessed a manifold increase in health seekers for the same. The health check-up available year-round is provided at a discounted price during the Christmas season. This year, however, citing the new decade of the millennium year 2020, the hospital provided a 20% discount on all health check-up packages. This is the first time such a huge concession is provided for these health check-ups and that too for a period of one month, from December 15, 2019 to January 15.

The Father Muller Medical College Hospital has a history of over 140 years of health care service in the region has been at the forefront in innovative medicine using state of the art equipment and technology. The faculty and staff are the backbone of the hospital, providing healing and comfort with utmost dedication and service. The hospital has been re-accredited with National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) and the hospital laboratory has been accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) which are the constituent boards of quality council of India. The Father Muller Pharmacy has also been certified by the Bureau Veritas Certification for the well maintained and quality assured pharmacy.

The director FMCI, Fr Richard A Coelho said that the number of health seekers increased this year for the health check-up mainly because of the Christmas season and the belief in quality care by the hospital. Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, administrator FMMCH applauded the efforts put in by the health check-up staff in helping the magnitude of people availing the service. This year having a dedicated hotline for the health check-up made it easier for the people. "We have a dedicated health check-up suite to accommodate the health seekers and a battery of staff to help them in the necessary procedures.

The Father Muller Health Card

The Father Muller Health cards are another flagship scheme of the hospital to provide comfort to patients in times of sickness. The cardholder avails varied discounts and free services on getting admitted in the hospital or if they come as out as patients to the OPD.

Individual Health card - For 1 year – Rs 100

Family Health card - For 1 year Rs 100 for the primary cardholder, an additional Rs 50 for each member (up to 1+7 members)

For 3 years – 10% discount and for 5 years 20% discount will be offered

The cardholder can avail the benefits under the scheme from the date of registration
