Udupi: Advani Expresses Desire to Retire from Politics


Udupi / New Delhi, Sep 28 (IANS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani Monday expressed his desire to retire from politics.

He made this remark during a visit to the Udupi Pejawar Math here (In New Delhi), Swami Vishwesh Teerth, the spiritual leader of the math, told IANS.

But he advised him not to be away from politics.

The swami said: "He (Advani) came here on a religious visit. While chatting, he expressed his desire to retire from politics. But I suggested him not to take any hasty decision," the swami said.

He "advised Advani to continue in politics as the country and party needs him".
