Puttur, Sep 29: Malankara Catholic Association of Battery Diocese under Dakshina Kannada zone will hold two-day national convention at Bethany Ashram, Kadaba here on Friday October 2 and Saturday October 3.

Speaking to media persons association president A m Kurian said that the Christian leaders will hold tour of Shimoga and Dakshina Kannada district to review and conduct a study on the status and condition of the Malankara Catholic churches in the region.

Kurian said hat the leaders of the national, zonal and district level committees will participate and express their opinion in this regard. A report in this regard will also be submitted to higher authorities. Moreover, development activities will be taken up after due discussion at the convention of the existing problems, he added.

Battery Diocese National Chairman Geverghese Mar Divannasios and association Central Committee religious guide Mathai Kadavil among others will participate in the convention.
