Moodbidri: Literary Summit Seeks Students’ Participation

Applications are invited from students for an internet poetry competition to be held for the first time under the aegis of Mitra Mandal, Kota, in Udupi district and Shree College, here.

It is being organized on account of the ‘14th Coastal Students Literary Summit’ and in memory of multi-faceted Kannada scholar and litterateur, the late Dr Shivaram Karanth.
 
Students have to send in two poems, their profile, telephone number, address, and a photograph, by Tuesday October 6, informed Sammelan committee president and Shree College founder Shekar Ajekar.
 
Photography Competitions:
 
Udupi Press Photographers’ Association has also organized photography competitions for students and the general public as Dr Shivaram Karanth was an avid photographer. Photographs sent as contest entries should be 8” x 12” in size.

Mobile Photos Contest:
 
Pictures taken on a mobile sent for the competition should be of sizes 3” X 2” or 4” X 6”.

Invitations for Representatives:
 
The literary enthusiasts who would like to present papers during the Sammelan including seminars on Dr Karanth can also apply.

Students are advised to enroll their names through the heads of their respective colleges.  Any number of students can enroll their names in this segment.  The last date for enrolment will be Thursday October 8.
