Kundapur: Missing Quarry Owner Found Murdered

Kundapur, Oct 2: Over two months ago, a missing complaint had been registered at Byndoor police station, about Ramakrishna Ganiga (55), a resident of Yadtare Alandoor near Byndoor, who owned a stone quarry. He had gone in search of workers for his quarry and then did not return.

The policemen have now gathered that Ramakrishna had visited Ugginakere of Mundugod near Sirsi, in search of workers, in the company of Shettappa alias Satyappa Bovi, a mediator. The policemen found, that Satyappa and Ramesh killed Ramakrishna Ganiga by asphyxiating him and then robbed Rs 9,700 in cash, mobile phone and golden ring found on his body. The body of Ramakrishna was buried by his killers in a compost pit located by the side of the agricultural fields in Ugginakere village in Mundugod. With this finding, the missing complaint has now been converted into murder case.

The Byndoor policemen, who have been able to crack this 80-day old case under difficult circumstances, have come in for lot of praise.
