Moodbidri, Oct 5:
Karnataka Bank managing director P Jayaram Bhat released the fourth series of books under Kantavara Kannada Sangha’s major project ‘Nadige Namaskara’, at Kannada Bhavan, here on Sunday October 4.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhat said that the authors get wide reach through their books which convey their insights, tastes, and observations.  He also appreciated the work of Kantavara Kannada Sangha in publishing books on great achievers.

MLC Captain Ganesh Karnik, in his presidential address, said that one does not become an achiever overnight as it is the toil of many years that makes one an accomplished individual.  He stressed the need for treading in the footsteps of ancestors so as to sustain the culture of Karnataka.

Books on K S N Adiga (by Srinivas Deshpande), K K Pai (K Sharada Bhat), Dr A Subbarao (Addoor Krishna Rao), P K Narayana (Dr Varada Srinivas), Ullal Srinivas Rao (Basti Vaman Shenoy), Pavanje Gopalakrishnayya (B M Rohini), B M Iddinabba (V G Nayak), Kajampady Rama (Dhananjaya Kumbli), Francis Danthi (Sumukananda Jalavalli), and Bannanje Babu Amin (Dr Gananatha Yekkar), were released on the occasion.

Fr Valerian Mendonca, Sandesha Cultural and Educational Trust, felicitated the authors, achievers, and relatives of those featured in the books.

Na Mogasale, the mentor of Kantavara Kannada Sangha, welcomed the gathering.  Suresh Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.

National award winning teacher Vittal Belady compered the programme.

Thirty books have been released under the same project in the past.
